Family Gathering to Celebrate Tommy Overton

This month marks the 10th anniversary of the ministry of "Pastor Tommy" at FPC. From Camp 456 to countless summers of VBS, Summit programs, SS and Communicants Classes to individual times of caring for our marriages, our families and our souls, Tommy has blessed us richly. Come help us say "thank you" as we honor, roast, rejoice and look forward to more years of the Overton family's ministry among us. Meal runs from 5:30 - 6:15 pm, with the program to follow from 6:15 - 7:15. Except for our nursery and child-care ministry through 5 years old, all children, youth, and adults will gather together in King Hall for this special celebration.

New Worship Service Schedule Begins September 12

After much study and prayer, we begin our new worship service schedule on Sunday, September 15 in order to continue our historic commitment to making worship central to our ministry here at FPC. Here's the new schedule:

8:30 AM: Rich in tradition and intimate in setting, our early service will be held each week in the Hardy Chapel.

9:00 AM: "Tradition Meets Today" at our new Convergent Worship" service in The Crossing where we will seek to honor our traditions, speaking through them in the language of today.

11:00 AM: A classic service, rich in tradition and including our Chancel Choir, will be held each week in our beautiful historic sanctuary.

Worship Service Schedule

We will have one combined service on August 22 (King Hall), August 29 (Sanctuary) and September 5 (Sanctuary). Our new worship schedule, describe above, begins on Sunday, September 12.

Child care for children 8 weeks - 5 years old is offered at each service.
