FPC MINISTRY UPDATES

Worship

This Sunday, we will have two worship services: 9 AM in the Sanctuary and 11 AM in King Hall.

Communion will be Celebrated on May 19th

The Sacrament of Communion will be celebrated at both services next Sunday, May 19.  May we use this week to prepare our hearts and minds to receive this gift of God rightly. We will remain in our seats while the Elders distribute the elements.

The Sacrament of Baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism will be celebrated today in our 11am Worship Service. We welcome Mr. And Mrs. Jared and Lauren Hughes as they present their sons, Cayden and Nolan Hughes, to be marked with this sign of the Covenant.

Haven Health Baby Bottle Boomerang

BABY BOTTLE BOOMERANG: Haven Health is Rome and Floyd County’s free pregnancy medical clinic that has served thousands of women in our community since 1986. They offer pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, prenatal/parenting classes, and STD testing/treatment, all free of charge. Every spring, from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day, Haven Health Clinic distributes baby bottles through churches to be filled with cash, checks, and change. How will filling a bottle help? $18 will pay for a client to receive Life Affirming materials; $35 keeps the phone lines open for another day; $60 provides a pregnancy test and counseling for one client; $95 provides an ultrasound for one client; $125 provides parenting education for one client, and $195 ensures our doors are open for another day.

Pips Picnic on May 16th

PIPS PICNIC will be at the Lock and Dam on Thursday, May 16, starting at 11 a.m. You can ride the bus, which will leave the church at 10:30, or you can carpool over. Please join us and sign up with the church office so we know how many are coming. Also, if you need transportation, please let the church office know that you would like to ride the church bus.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES ~ SERVE PROFILE

The Bible teaches us that all Christians were “created in Christ Jesus for good works” (Ephesians 2:10). Our church has created a Serve Profile that helps you discover how God has gifted you for His service and shows you potential areas of service in the church and community. This Serve Profile does not automatically sign you up to serve anywhere! It opens the door for a ministry leader to contact you and discuss ways you may feel called to serve FPC and our surrounding community when opportunities are presented. You may visit fpcrome.org/serve and click on the SERVE PROFILE button. It is accessible from all mobile devices and takes about 7 minutes to complete. If you prefer a paper copy, contact the church office at 706-291-6033.
